Campus placement preparation guide for students
Campus placement preparation becomes easier when students divide it into small weekly goals: resume, aptitude, technical basics, projects, communication, and interview practice.
Step 1: Build a clean resume
Your resume should show education, skills, projects, internship, certificates, and achievements. Keep it simple and specific. A recruiter should understand your strengths in less than one minute.
Step 2: Practice aptitude and reasoning
Most placement drives include aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, or basic quantitative questions. Practice daily for 30 to 45 minutes. Track mistakes and revise formulas every week.
Step 3: Prepare technical basics
Computer science students should revise programming basics, database, operating system, networking, web development, and one strong programming language. Non-CS students should prepare domain basics and software tools used in their field.
Step 4: Make practical projects
Projects make a fresher resume stronger. Build useful projects like billing software, student management system, portfolio website, attendance system, ecommerce mini project, or WhatsApp template manager. Explain the problem, features, technology, and result.
Weekly plan
- Monday to Wednesday: aptitude and technical basics.
- Thursday: project work and resume improvement.
- Friday: communication and HR questions.
- Saturday: mock test.
- Sunday: revision and weak-topic repair.
